Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join our public accounting team in Orlando. You will lead tax engagements, ensure timely federal, state, and local returns for diverse clients, and provide strategic planning and compliance support.

You will supervise, mentor staff, review workpapers, and contribute to business development while leveraging tax software to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license required or CPA candidate with intent to obtain license within a specified timeframe.
• Minimum 4–7 years of progressive experience in public accounting tax practice as a Tax Senior or Tax Accountant (note: as per HTML)
• Proficiency with tax software and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards.
• Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns for various entities.
• Perform tax research and apply relevant tax laws to deliver accurate positions and recommendations.
• Provide tax planning and consulting on entity structure, transactions, and minimization strategies.
• Supervise, mentor, and train tax staff and senior associates; review workpapers and returns.
• Coordinate with clients to gather information and explain results.
• Manage tax provision and compliance processes and review accounting entries.
• Utilize tax software to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with IRS/state notices, audits, and tax controversy matters.
• Support business development through client opportunities and proposals.
