Job summary

Creative Planning, LLC seeks a Tax Senior to provide excellent tax preparation, review, and ancillary services within our tax practice in Waterloo, IA. You will engage in engagement scheduling, contribute to process improvements, and strengthen technical skills while exploring opportunities outside tax.

You will lead and support diversified tax assignments, mentor associates, and participate in business development to expand client projects and revenue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• 2+ years of professional services experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Strong analytical, teamwork, and organizational abilities are essential.
• Integrity, maturity, dependability and a strong work ethic are important.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified tax assignments, planning, and scheduling of client engagements under the direction of the engagement team.
• Keep current on basic accounting standards and education.
• Meet time budgets and deadlines for assignments and projects.
• Adhere to client confidentiality and risk management policies; address issues with management.
• Actively participate in business development meetings to build client relationships and revenue.
• Explore industry specialization and participate in professional activities.
• Support training and mentorship for associates and interns.
• Communicate effectively with the team to promote open dialogue.
