Haynie & Company in Spring, TX seeks a Tax Senior Associate to deliver precise federal and state tax returns and build trusted client relationships.

You will handle increasingly complex filings, identify tailored opportunities for clients, and support teammates with timely, accurate tax support. CPA eligibility and a master’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Proven public accounting experience, including preparing federal and state income tax returns.
• Comprehensive understanding of tax law.
• Exposure to tax software systems: CCH, Lacerte, QuickBooks, Canopy.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare complex tax returns and respond to IRS/state notices.
• Flexibility to handle larger workloads during Tax season.
• CPA or CPA eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely federal and state tax returns with increasing complexity.
• Foster client relationships, promoting satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to resolve intricate tax issues.
• Identify potential service opportunities that align with client goals.
• Maintain accurate records to support efficient tax processes and compliance.
• Assist in managing and completing tax projects to meet deadlines and expectations.
