Haynie & Company in Texas is seeking a Tax Manager to lead a team through complex tax projects, ensuring timely and accurate returns while strengthening client relationships.

You will mentor staff, manage multiple priorities, and contribute to the firm’s growth with proactive tax planning and compliance for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and nonprofits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required, preferably with a Master’s degree.
• Public accounting experience in income tax for individuals, partnerships/LLCs, S Corporations, and C Corporations.
• Proven leadership and project management abilities with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Comprehensive understanding of tax law and strong tax research skills.
• Experience with tax software including CCH, Lacerte, QuickBooks, and Canopy.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience with trusts, estates, and nonprofits preferred.
• Goal-oriented and innovative leader with proactive business results.

What you’ll need to be our Tax Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required, preferably with a Master’s degree in Taxation
• Extensive public accounting experience in income tax preparation and review for individuals, partnerships/LLCs, S Corporations, and C Corporations
• Proven leadership and project management abilities, with strong organizational skills to manage and delegate multiple simultaneous tasks
• Comprehensive understanding of tax law
• Strong analytical and tax research skills
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining positive and professional client relationships
• Exposure to relevant tax software systems, including CCH, Lacerte, QuickBooks, and/or Canopy
• Flexibility to take on larger workloads during Tax season
• CPA, preferred
• Previous experience in income tax preparation and review for trusts, estates, and non-profit organizations, preferred
• Goal-oriented and innovative leader with a proactive approach to achieving business results
