Job summary

Haynie and Company is seeking a Tax Manager to lead a team through complex tax projects and strengthen client relationships. You’ll balance priorities with urgency, driving growth and delivering high-quality tax services across individuals, partnerships, corporations, and nonprofits.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation preferred), public accounting tax experience, leadership abilities, and proficiency with tax software like CCH, Lacerte, QuickBooks, or Canopy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required, preferably with a Master’s in Taxation.
• Public accounting tax preparation and review experience for individuals, partnerships/LLCs, S corps, and C corps.
• Proven leadership and project management abilities with strong organizational skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of tax law and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive client relationships.
• Experience with tax software systems including CCH, Lacerte, QuickBooks, and/or Canopy.
• CPA, preferred; experience with trusts, estates, and non-profits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing tax team delivering accurate and timely tax services.
• Foster positive client relationships with clear expectations and satisfaction.
• Project-manage preparation and review of complex tax returns with compliance.
• Support business development and growth of existing client accounts.
• Implement and maintain efficient processes to meet performance goals.
