Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Someone who is curious, dependable, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and support month-end and quarter-end close.
• Prepare premium tax and other state and municipal tax filings.
• Assist with statutory and regulatory filings.
• Reconcile taxes, fees, assessments, and other GL accounts.
• Review financial reports and research discrepancies.
• Assist with quarterly and annual financial statement preparation.
• Support investment and custodian bank reporting.
• Maintain regulatory and tax filing calendars and help ensure deadlines are met.
• Work with external tax advisors, auditors, banks, and other business partners.
• Assist with audits, reporting, financial analysis, and special projects.

Tax Reporting Accountant – Financial Services

Are you an accountant who enjoys solving problems, digging into discrepancies, and making sure everything ties out?

We’re looking for a Reporting Tax Accounting Specialist to join a growing financial services firm. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid accounting foundation who wants to expand their experience into financial reporting, regulatory compliance, tax, investments, and insurance accounting.

Insurance experience is a plus, but not required. If you have strong general accounting experience and enjoy learning new areas, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do
