Job summary

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Tax Provision Senior to join the TARAS practice in Chicago and other US locations. You will work on ASC 740 tax provision processes, assist with internal controls, and partner with leaders to advise clients on tax accounting matters.

The role offers mentorship from senior tax professionals and exposure to complex tax issues. The ideal candidate has a CPA track, solid tax experience, and the ability to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; MST/MAcc/JD/LLM preferred.
• Typically, 2–4 years of relevant tax or legal experience.
• Progress toward or completion of a CPA certification or licensed attorney status.
• Broad understanding of federal income taxation and tax provisions.
• Experience with tax reporting, risk assessment, and control environments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to delivery of processes, solutions and projects by executing activities and applying judgment.
• Meet performance objectives and metrics for client service, quality, risk management and teaming.
• Review and improve the tax provision process for efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with junior colleagues and other teams as needed.
