Job summary

EY in Chicago is seeking a Tax Provision Manager within Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory (TARAS). You will lead tax provision processes, manage risk, and advise clients to improve tax reporting and controls. This role emphasizes mentoring teams and delivering high-quality tax solutions across multiple engagements.

You will travel up to 50%+, work within a hybrid model, and contribute to a globally connected advisory practice. Strong ASC 740 experience and leadership capabilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (MST/MAcc/JD/LLM preferred).
• Typically, 4–6 years of relevant tax or legal experience.
• CPA certification or licensed attorney status is desirable.
• Understanding of tax provisions and ASC 740 processes.
• Experience with tax internal controls and tax reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver multiple processes or projects with strong quality and risk focus.
• Mentor and supervise professionals delivering complex technical initiatives.
• Identify and implement process improvements using research and best practices.
• Guide teams and interpret issues, recommending effective solutions.
