H.T. Prof Executive Search seeks a hands-on Tax Manager to own the income tax function, lead the tax provision process for financial reporting, and oversee return preparation with external preparers and internal staff.

You will coach a team of tax accountants and drive continuous improvement across processes, controls, and service levels. You will work with auditors and management to address notices, while supporting related areas such as sales, property, and payroll taxes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 6+ years of tax experience in public accounting or corporate environment.
• Strong federal, state, and local tax knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.
• Interpersonal and communication abilities are essential.
• A motivated, take-charge attitude. Plus: CPA, Master's in Taxation or relevant industry experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop tax accountants through coaching, supervision, and feedback.
• Own the quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision.
• Oversee federal and state income tax return calculations and filings.
• Review FIN 48 and UNICAP positions.
• Respond to notices and inquiries from taxing authorities.
• Work directly with internal and external auditors.
• Research and deliver tax information requested by management and outside parties.
• Support related areas such as sales tax, property tax, payroll tax, and incentives.
• Map, document, and re-engineer tax processes to improve efficiency, controls, and metrics.
