H&R Block in Brentwood, NY is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax needs while receiving comprehensive training from seasoned experts.

You will conduct tax interviews, prepare accurate returns, and contribute to client growth and retention in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. Set within a franchise office, this role offers exposure to diverse client scenarios and opportunities to further your tax career with flexible scheduling.

Competenze

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools - video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support (audit representation for Circular 230 and notices)
• Mentor and support teammates
• Complete continuing education and meet all IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Joining H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional means you'll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training you'll need to be successful.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools - video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Pay Range

$17.00 - $17.00/Hr.
