Job summary

H&R Block in Eureka, CA is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to help clients with diverse tax needs. You will conduct interviews and prepare returns with support from a team of experienced colleagues.

This role requires strong communication, experience with virtual tax interviews, and the ability to grow client relationships. Training is provided; a high school diploma or higher is required, with CPA/EA preferred.

Joining H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional means you'll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training you'll need to be successful.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools - video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Pay Range

$22.00 - $25.00/Hr.
