Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. in Annapolis, MD, is hiring a seasonal Tax Professional to help clients with diverse tax needs while delivering trusted, accurate service.

You will work with an expert team and receive advanced tax training to be successful. Responsibilities include conducting tax interviews (in person and virtually), preparing complete and accurate returns, and advising clients on IRS notices and tax planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements

• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Pay Range

$15.00 - $45.00/Hr.
