Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced Tax Professional for the upcoming season. You’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs, building relationships that last for years, with the support of a skilled team and comprehensive training.

In this role, you’ll conduct tax interviews, prepare returns, and help clients maximize refunds while staying compliant. A strong background in accounting or tax is essential, along with relevant certifications and a track record of high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience completing complex tax returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Pay Range

$18.00 - $30.00/Hr.
