Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You’ll join an expert team and receive advanced tax training to succeed.

You’ll conduct client interviews (in person or virtually), prepare accurate returns, and identify opportunities to offer additional products and services while supporting teammates.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support (including audit representation for related roles)
• Mentor and support teammates
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience
