Job summary

Security Finance is seeking a Tax Processing Supervisor to lead our seasonal tax team across the network, ensuring IRS, state, and internal requirements are met. You will supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and oversee forms processing with a focus on accuracy and client service.

This role requires strong tax knowledge, experience with IRS e-filing, and the ability to train large regional groups. Occasional travel for training is required, and hours extend during peak season.

Qualifications

• Minimum two tax seasons with 1040 tax processing or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of individual income tax law.
• Working knowledge of IRS e-filing procedures.
• Strong Excel and Word skills; highly computer literate.
• Enrolled Agent credential preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise seasonal tax staff, including interviewing, assigning territories, managing schedules, and monitoring call volume.
• Oversee accuracy and compliance in processing IRS, State, Bank, and internal tax forms.
• Provide real-time telephone support to branch employees, Supervisors, and State Leaders.
• Deliver customer relations support to tax customers as needed.
• Develop and administer tax training modules, tutorials, exams, practice returns, and reference materials.
• Conduct live and webinar-based trainings across multiple regions.
• Maintain and report employee status for preparers and tax sales employees.
• Review amendments and IRS/State letters submitted by customers.
• Report Continuing Education hours to the IRS.
• Ensure accurate phone logs and quality conversations with branch personnel.
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance—especially during the high-volume tax season.
