Job summary

H&R Block in Lincoln, Maine seeks a flexible, customer-focused team member to support tax interviews and preparation.

You will enter client and W-2 data into our tax program, help assemble returns, obtain signatures, and review outcomes with clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Prior Windows-based software experience is helpful; state/local requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program at the start of the interview.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain signatures, review the product with the client, and complete bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients receive superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Your Expertise

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional course work in math, accounting, or finance
