Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. in Saltville, VA is seeking an entry-level Tax Assistant to help start and close tax interviews for clients. You will enter client and W-2 information into the tax program and assist with assembling returns.

You will review the finished product with clients, obtain signatures, and help with bookkeeping procedures while delivering superior service and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reading and math skills are required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program during the interview.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain signatures, review the finished product with the client, and complete bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
