H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Tax Assistant to help guide clients through the income tax interview process, entering data accurately and delivering friendly service in a fast-paced office.

You will assemble returns, verify signatures, and work with clients to ensure a correct final product, with opportunities to learn tax software and grow with the team.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsabilidades

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program at the start of the interview.
• Assemble the tax return and obtain required signatures at interview closing.
• Review the finished product with the client and complete bookkeeping procedures.
• Provide superior service to all H&R Block clients.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program

• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures

• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service

• All other duties as assigned

Your Expertise

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview

• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone

• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs

• Additional state and local requirements may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional course work in math, accounting, or finance
