Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring for a position focused on assisting with tax interviews, entering client and W-2 information, and aiding in assembling tax returns. You will review the finished product with clients and ensure high-quality service in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

The role emphasizes flexibility with seasonal and part-time schedules, paid training, and opportunities to learn tax and client service skills. Prior experience with Windows-based software is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and do basic math to complete tax interviews.
• Effective in-person and phone communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining signatures, and reviewing the product with the client.
• Complete bookkeeping procedures and ensure all clients receive superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned

Your Expertise

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs
• Additional state and local requirements may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional course work in math, accounting, or finance
