Job summary

H&R Block in Fergus Falls, MN seeks an entry-level Tax Assistant to help with the tax interview, entering client and W-2 information into the tax program, and assisting with closing the interview by assembling the tax return and obtaining signatures. You will review the finished product with the client and complete bookkeeping procedures.

Strong reading, math, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work with Windows-based programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.
