Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. in Michigan is seeking an entry-level Tax Support Associate to help both start and finish tax interviews. You will enter client and W-2 information into the tax program and assist with assembling returns, obtaining signatures, and reviewing the finished product with clients.

You will work to ensure all clients receive superior service, perform bookkeeping steps when needed, and comply with state and local requirements as applicable in a fast-paced tax environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic reading and math skills to complete the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
