Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Tax Assistant in Michigan to help begin the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.

The role continues by assisting with closing the interview, assembling the tax return, obtaining signatures, and reviewing the finished product with the client. The position emphasizes accurate bookkeeping procedures and delivering superior service to every client, with additional duties as assigned as part of the franchisee office

Qualifications

• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program to start the interview.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain signatures, and review the product with the client.
• Complete bookkeeping procedures and ensure accurate finalization of returns.
• Provide superior service to all H&R Block clients.
• All other duties as assigned.
