Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a team member to help start and finish the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program and by assembling the tax return with signatures. The role emphasizes delivering superior client service and supporting bookkeeping steps as needed.

You'll work closely with clients, perform basic tax prep tasks, and comply with state/local requirements while handling additional duties as assigned by the franchise office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
