Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a front-line Tax Interview Assistant to help clients begin and complete their tax returns in Texas. You will enter client and W-2 information into the tax software and support the tax interview process.

You will assemble returns, obtain signatures, review the finished product with clients, and perform bookkeeping tasks as needed. Strong communication and basic math skills are essential, along with comfort with Windows-based programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reading and math skills are required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program during the interview.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain required signatures, and review the finished product with the client.
• Complete bookkeeping procedures and ensure superior client service.
• All other duties as assigned.
