Job summary

H&R Block seeks an entry-level Tax Assistant to support tax interviews in a franchise office in Texas. You will enter client and W-2 data, help assemble returns, obtain signatures, and review the finished product with clients.

You will ensure high-quality service for every client and perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to a positive client experience and smooth tax preparation processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
