Job summary

H&R Block in Versailles, KY is seeking an entry-level Tax Assistant to help begin and close tax interviews, input client and W-2 data, and assemble returns with signatures. You will review the completed tax product with clients and perform bookkeeping as needed.

Exceptional client service is required. Requirements include a high school diploma, basic reading and math skills, and the ability to communicate well in person and by phone.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax interview
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned
