Job summary

H&R Block in Oklahoma is seeking an entry-level tax assistant to help with client interviews and tax preparation processes. You’ll enter client and W-2 information, assist with assembling returns, and support the team to deliver accurate, high-quality service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong reading and math skills, and the ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone. Experience with Windows-based programs is a plus.

Qualifications

• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Effective communication in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned
