Job summary

H&R Block in Ohio is seeking an entry-level assistant to support tax interviews. You will enter client and W-2 details into the tax program at the interview start and help assemble the return at closing, ensuring accuracy and signatures. You will review the finished product with clients and complete bookkeeping steps as needed.

Strong reading and math skills, along with clear communication both in person and on the phone, are essential. Experience with Windows-based programs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining signatures, reviewing the product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned
