Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. in Ohio seeks a frontline Tax Assistant to support tax interviews by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program and helping assemble returns.

You will review the finished product with clients, obtain signatures, complete bookkeeping steps, and ensure every client receives superior service. A high school diploma, basic reading and math, and strong communication are required; experience with Windows programs is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reading and math skills are required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs is preferred.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
