Job summary

Gusto is building a high-impact tax payments and filings product line in a fast-moving, AI-first environment. The PM will own internal platforms, drive leverage through automation, and partner with engineering across a regulated domain to deliver trustworthy, scalable solutions.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of product management and a proven ability to translate complex tax requirements into durable software that serves internal customers like Operations and Compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on product management experience, including ownership of internal-facing platforms or tooling.
• Experience driving leverage by building automation, tooling, or system improvements.
• Strong technical fluency and partnerships with engineering in complex codebases.
• Experience in a compliance-driven or regulated domain where accuracy is critical.

Responsibilities

• Own the investment strategy for tax compliance products and set long-term direction.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and CX to resolve friction and align on solutions.
• Prototype, implement AI-enabled scalable solutions, and ship outcomes end-to-end.
