Whitman Advisory is partnering with an established public accounting firm in Delaware to identify an experienced Tax Partner. The role offers a potential path from Non-Equity Partner to equity ownership and may include relocation assistance for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will lead tax engagements, mentor staff, and drive strategic growth for the Delaware practice within a trusted advisory framework.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 10+ years of progressive public accounting and tax experience.
• Strong leadership and employee development capabilities.
• Business development and client relationship experience.
• Excellent communication, judgment and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the tax practice.
• Manage and review complex tax engagements for privately held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
• Review partnership, S Corporation, trust/estate, and individual tax returns.
• Provide sophisticated tax planning, consulting, and advisory services.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and maintain strong long-term client relationships.
• Develop new business relationships and identify opportunities for practice growth.
• Mentor and develop tax professionals at various levels.
• Collaborate with other Partners and senior leaders across the organization.
• Contribute ideas and initiatives supporting growth and development of the practice.

Whitman Advisory is partnering exclusively with an established public accounting firm on a confidential search for an experienced Tax Partner to support the continued growth of its Delaware practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior tax professional who is ready to step into a Partner-level position and play an important role in the strategic growth of an established office.

The firm is open to considering candidates who may initially join at the Non-Equity Partner level, with a potential path toward equity ownership based on experience, performance, and long-term alignment.

Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the tax practice.

• Ability to operate effectively at a Partner level and contribute to the firm's long-term strategic direction.
