Whitman Advisory Job Community in Delaware is seeking a Tax Principal to lead complex engagements and help grow its tax practice. This opportunity targets an experienced Senior Tax Manager, Director, or Principal ready for firm leadership and a potential Partner track.

The ideal candidate will be a tax generalist and trusted advisor with extensive experience serving closely held businesses, owners, individuals, and organizations.

Qualifications

• CPA certification required and 15+ years of public accounting tax experience preferred.
• Senior Tax Manager, Director, Principal, or Partner level experience.
• Strong ability to advise sophisticated business owners and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex tax engagements and provide high-level technical oversight.
• Advise business owners, individuals, and organizations on sophisticated tax planning and compliance matters.
• Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Provide tax planning, projections, research, and consulting services.
• Advise clients on business structure, transactions, succession planning, and other tax-sensitive decisions.
• Serve as a senior-level relationship manager for key clients.
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and cross-sell appropriate accounting and advisory services.
• Participate actively in business development, networking, referrals, and community involvement.
• Mentor and develop Tax Managers, Seniors, and other tax professionals.
• Collaborate with accounting and advisory professionals to provide integrated client solutions.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on clients.
• Participate in firm strategy and practice-development initiatives.
