Job summary

Takkion Ops Management is seeking a Tax Manager to lead US tax provision (ASC 740), compliance, and planning for a PE-backed renewable energy platform. You will collaborate with accounting, finance, legal, and development teams to optimize tax outcomes on capital-intensive, project-based initiatives.

The role covers tax structuring, ITC/PTC considerations, and support for acquisitions, dispositions, and financing while building scalable tax processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or tax is required.
• CPA is required.
• Minimum 6 years’ tax experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax.
• Big 4 experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience in Renewable Energy and/or Private Equity preferred.
• Knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. tax laws.
• Knowledge of indirect taxes (sales, use, franchise, real estate, personal property).
• Exposure to renewable energy tax concepts or capital-intensive industries.
• Ability to perform complex tax research and communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provision and related disclosures per ASC 740.
• Manage tax accounts, reconciliations, and provision-to-return adjustments.
• Oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance processes and external providers.
• Ensure timely filings and manage tax calendars across jurisdictions.
• Assist with transaction support including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.
• Support tax audits and document key tax positions and credits.
• Drive tax data flows and integration with financial systems.
