Job summary

Connectly Recruiting seeks a hands-on Tax Manager to own the income tax function. You will lead the tax provision process, oversee return work with internal staff and external preparers, and coach a team of tax accountants. Responsible for improving tax processes and controls.

You will manage ASC 740, review FIN 48 and UNICAP positions, and coordinate with auditors, while supporting sales, property, payroll tax and incentives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 6+ years of tax experience in public accounting or corporate setting.
• Strong federal, state, and local tax knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop tax accountants through coaching and feedback.
• Own the quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision.
• Oversee federal and state income tax return calculations and filings.
• Review FIN 48 and UNICAP positions.
• Respond to notices from taxing authorities and work with auditors.
• Research tax information for management and external parties.
• Support related areas like sales, property, payroll tax and incentives.
• Map and re-engineer tax processes to improve efficiency and controls.
