Job summary

Software Placement Group in Charleston, SC, seeks a career-minded Tax Manager to lead tax engagements across a Southeast-based accounting and consulting firm, with a path toward partnership and growth. Flexible/remote work arrangements are available.

You will manage client taxation for individuals and businesses, supervise deadlines with associates, review returns, stay current on tax laws, and contribute to practice development while pursuing a specialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of public accounting experience reviewing individual and business taxation.
• CPA or EA in progress preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a group of clients and provide client services in individual and business taxation.
• Manage project deadlines and plan appropriately with associates and senior associates.
• Coordinate with team members on all phases of the tax engagement.
• Review mostly business (and some individual) tax returns and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Provide high-level client service.
• Stay current on tax law changes and accounting-related developments and best practices.
• Collaborate with team members on continual process improvement.
• Participate in practice development and various firm activities.
• Develop an area of tax specialization.
