Henderson Group Recruiting is assisting a respected CPA firm in the Chicagoland area in finding a Tax Manager specializing in nonprofit organizations, private foundations, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals. The role features direct Partner interaction, a hybrid work environment, and strong growth potential within a collaborative firm.

The ideal candidate will bring deep nonprofit tax experience, client advisory skills, and a track record of leading complex engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of relevant tax experience.
• Experience with Forms 990, 990-PF, 1040, and 1041.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit, private foundation, fiduciary, and individual taxation.
• Professional credential such as CPA, EA, MST, JD, LLM, CTFA, or AEP.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for nonprofits, private foundations, trusts, estates, and individuals.
• Oversee preparation and review of IRS Forms 990, 990-PF, 1040, and 1041.
• Provide technical guidance on nonprofit taxation and high-net-worth matters.
• Research complex tax issues and regulatory developments; identify planning opportunities.
• Mentor tax associates and collaborate with Partners on client engagements.
