Job summary

Chicagoland CPA Firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager specializing in nonprofit organizations, private foundations, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals to join its growing tax practice.

The ideal candidate will bring strong tax expertise, client relationships, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor on complex matters, with direct Partner interaction and a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of relevant tax experience including preparation, review, and management of complex returns.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit, private foundation, fiduciary, and individual taxation.
• Experience with nonprofit organizations, foundations, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth clients.
• Credentials such as CPA/EA/MST/JD/LLM/CTFA/AEP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review federal and state tax returns for nonprofits, foundations, trusts, estates, and individuals.
• Oversee preparation/review of Forms 990, 990-PF, 1040, and 1041.
• Provide technical guidance on nonprofit taxation and high-net-worth matters.
• Research complex tax issues and regulatory developments.
• Identify planning opportunities and advise clients.
• Serve as an internal resource for nonprofit tax matters.
