Job summary

Key People in the greater Chicagoland area seeks an experienced Tax Manager specializing in nonprofit organizations, private foundations, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals to join its growing tax practice.

This role offers direct Partner interaction, a hybrid work environment, professional growth, and a potential path to Partner, with sophisticated tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for privately held clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of relevant tax experience including preparation, review, and management of complex tax returns.
• At least one professional credential such as CPA, EA, MST, JD, LLM, CTFA, or AEP.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit, private foundation, fiduciary, and individual taxation; experience with nonprofit organizations, foundations, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth clients.
• Strong client relationship management and advisory capabilities; ability to work with Partners and manage multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance & Advisory for nonprofit organizations, private foundations, trusts, estates, and individuals.
• Client Relationship Management with nonprofit orgs, foundations, and high-net-worth clients; collaborate with attorneys and wealth advisors.
• Leadership & Practice Development including mentoring tax associates and improving processes; participate in cross-service opportunities; growth of nonprofit practice.
