Job summary

Shift Pursuit, a long-standing CPA firm in the Atlanta area, seeks a Tax Manager in Kennesaw to serve mid-size businesses, owners, and high-net-worth individuals. You will lead complex tax engagements and provide strategic planning.

The ideal candidate is a CPA with 7+ years of public accounting, strong communication skills, and a track record of mentoring staff; you’ll work closely with Partners on tricky tax issues and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license.
• 7+ years of public accounting experience.
• Experience with C-Corps, S-Corps, and partnerships.
• Strong individual tax and tax planning experience.
• Experience advising businesses and high-net-worth individuals.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review tax engagements for individuals, C-Corps, S-Corps, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
• Advise owners and high-net-worth individuals on tax planning opportunities.
• Review multi-state and consolidated tax returns while upholding quality standards.
• Communicate with clients on technical tax matters and provide actionable guidance.
• Monitor engagement progress, budgets, billing, and issues; keep Partners informed.
• Supervise and train Staff and Senior tax professionals.
• Stay current with tax legislation and industry developments.
• Participate in networking and relationship-building activities.
