King of Kings Business & Tax Advisory Firm in Atlanta/Norcross, GA is seeking an experienced CPA Tax Manager to lead our tax department. You will review complex federal and multi-state returns, advise on strategic planning, and mentor a team of tax professionals, working directly with business owners to improve tax outcomes.

The role emphasizes proactive planning, client relationship building, and collaboration with our advisory teams.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
• Experience with S corporations, partnerships, C corporations, and high-income individuals.
• Strong knowledge of Forms 1120-S, 1065, 1120, and 1040, including pass-through taxation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120-S, 1065, 1040).
• Lead proactive mid-year and year-end tax-planning engagements.
• Review client financials and identify tax-saving strategies and planning opportunities.
• Advise on entity structure, reasonable compensation, estimated taxes, basis, distributions, and multi-entity structures.
• Interact with business owners and high-income clients to explain complex tax matters clearly.
• Review work by tax preparers, accountants, and bookkeepers for accuracy and tax readiness.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to tax and accounting staff.
• Manage tax deadlines, extensions, and workflow across client portfolio.
• Research federal/state tax law changes and communicate opportunities/risks.
• Assist with IRS/state notices and tax resolution matters.
• Collaborate with bookkeeping, accounting, and Fractional CFO teams for integrated tax planning.
• Help leadership strengthen tax department procedures and quality-control standards.
