Job summary

Proven Recruiting, Inc. is partnering with a well established company to hire a Tax Manager for a hybrid role in the Dallas area. You will lead indirect tax, own multi-state sales and use tax compliance, and drive automation to replace manual processes.

You will mentor a Tax Associate, handle audits, and coordinate across jurisdictions while leveraging tax software to ensure accurate filings. A strong tax background with industry experience is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or similar.
• 5+ years of tax experience, ideally in sales & use tax.
• Industry background preferred; mix of public accounting and industry welcome.
• Proficient with tax software across multi-state filings.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-state sales and use tax compliance from preparation to filing.
• Mentor Tax Associate and review work while staying hands-on.
• Serve as point person for audits and state correspondence.
• Guide taxability decisions and maintain exemption documents.
• Manage property tax and business licensing obligations.
• Evaluate outsourced work and lead in-house transition.
