Job summary

CB Partners, LLC, a growing private equity-backed renewable energy focused organization, is seeking a Tax Manager to help shape and enhance the tax function within an acquisition-driven environment.

The Tax Manager will collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and leadership to oversee tax compliance, planning, and strategic transactions, while driving process improvements and mentoring the tax team. This role offers high visibility and long-term growth in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related field.
• Active CPA license required.
• 6+ years of progressive tax experience.
• Strong ASC 740 tax provisions experience.
• Federal and state income tax compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ASC 740 tax provision process.
• Manage federal and state income tax compliance.
• Perform tax planning, research, and efficient structuring initiatives.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Development teams on business initiatives.
• Assist with acquisition diligence and integration activities.
• Support renewable energy tax programs and tax equity structures.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Drive tax function enhancements and systems improvements.
• Manage and mentor tax team members.
• Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local tax law changes.
