Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles.
• CPA or EA designation, or actively working toward one.
• Ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to clients and colleagues.
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tax/accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned tax clients and build strong, long-term relationships.
• Advise clients on a broad range of tax matters, including planning, research, compliance, and general business activities.
• Manage federal and state tax compliance engagements and coordinate client needs throughout the engagement process.
• Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns.
• Analyze tax situations and identify opportunities for tax planning and optimization.
• Research complex tax issues and clearly communicate recommendations and conclusions to clients and internal team members.
• Manage multiple engagements while balancing deadlines, priorities, and client expectations.
• Stay current with changes in tax law, regulations, and industry practices.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Help team members understand expectations, strengthen their technical skills, and identify opportunities for professional development.
