Embark Recruiting Solutions is assisting a growing public accounting firm in Columbus, Ohio, to hire a Tax Manager who will lead and expand the tax practice. This role emphasizes developing trusted client relationships and contributing to the strategic direction of the practice beyond tax compliance.

You will wear multiple hats, mentor staff, and collaborate with firm leadership to grow the tax service line, while staying current on tax laws and evolving processes.

Formación

• CPA license preferred.
• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of individual, business, and partnership taxation.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine interest in helping grow a business.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of client service.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working independently.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a diverse portfolio of individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax engagements from planning through completion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering exceptional service and proactive tax guidance.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and introduce additional services.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to grow and shape the tax practice.
• Research and resolve complex tax issues while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Review tax returns and provide technical guidance and mentorship as the practice grows.
• Stay current on changing tax laws and communicate their impact to clients.
• Help establish and improve tax processes, workflows, and best practices.
