Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or JD desirable; advanced certifications viewed favorably.
• 5+ years of experience in tax, accounting, and advisory services in a professional services firm.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted member of the team providing various tax, accounting and advisory services to small business clients.
• Oversee and provide services pertaining to accounting, bookkeeping and prepared or compiled financials.
• Review and analyze accounting records and discuss with client to discuss accounting and business matters.
• Deliver best-in-class customer service to clients, with emphasis on responsiveness, timeliness, professionalism and accuracy.
• Lead and plan client engagements and evaluate processes and procedures to implement efficiencies and address internal control issues.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations and objectives.
• Manage and build client relationships and act as liaison to resolve issues and assist team leaders in offering additional services.
• Effectively delegate and oversee work, set goals and deadlines to meet client expectations for delivery.
• Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal tax practices and laws.
• Assist with managing staffing, billings/collections and ensure profitability targets are met.
• Network and build relationships internally and with clients and the community using entrepreneurial skills.
• Invest in professional development through firm-wide learning and development programs.
