Job summary

NewEdge Capital Group LLC in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a hands-on Tax Manager to own the tax compliance calendar and processes from start to finish, coordinating with external tax advisors on scalable, proactive solutions.

This hybrid role (3+ days in the office) covers federal, multi-state, and local filings, the annual tax provision, notices and audits, and proactive tax planning in collaboration with accounting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, including multi-state income tax compliance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state corporate income tax rules.
• Ability to independently manage a full tax compliance cycle.
• Excellent organizational skills and deadline management.
• Ability to research technical tax issues and document conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end workflow for federal, multi-state, and local income tax compliance calendar and filings.
• Prepare/review corporate income tax returns, excise tax, quarterly estimates and payments, and extensions.
• Manage annual income tax provision processes and disclosures for audits.
• Monitor state/local tax law changes and assess impact on filings and nexus.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and review deliverables.
• Maintain tax workpapers, calendars, and internal controls/documentation.
