Job summary

Abacus Group is seeking a Manager for the Emerging Companies Group in their Manhattan, NY office. You will lead tax planning for high-growth clients across multiple industries, oversee tax return preparation for entities and individuals, and stay ahead of evolving tax laws.

The role requires strong leadership, client relations, and deep knowledge of tax planning. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in tax within public accounting and preferred CPA certification.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting.
• Public accounting experience required.
• Emerging companies industry experience preferred.
• Strong leadership abilities and team management experience.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability for emerging company clients across technology, food & beverage, health & beauty, and professional services.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
• Mentor and develop a team within the emerging companies group.
