Kemper CPA Group LLP, a top 100 public accounting firm, seeks a Tax Manager for our Merced, California office. The role focuses on supervising tax engagements, coaching staff, and delivering high-quality client service.

Qualified candidates have at least 5 years of tax management experience, strong technical tax knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Overtime may occur during peak seasons and performance feedback drives ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Requires a CPA designation and 5+ years of tax supervisory experience.
• Demonstrates ability to coordinate staff and client expectations; plan assignments and resolve issues.
• Produces and manages budget expectations for engagements and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review federal, state, local, and special tax returns for clients.
• Prepare and/or review financial statements, reports, and records.
• Maintain current tax knowledge and participate in professional development.
• Promote efficient execution of engagements and cultivate client relationships.
• Engage in professional and civic activities to promote the firm.
• Manage a book of business within budgeted revenue and realization targets.
• Develop and coach staff members supporting engagements.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
