Job summary

O&G Industries, Inc. in Torrington, CT seeks a Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, reporting, and planning for the company and its affiliates. You will coordinate with external advisors and manage tax-related risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPA and/or Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Advanced Excel and tax software proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple entities, priorities, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax compliance, reporting, and planning for O&G and affiliated entities; oversee federal, state, and local tax matters.
• Coordinate preparation and review of annual tax returns and quarterly estimated tax payments.
• Manage tax projections and supporting schedules related to tax basis and owner tax obligations.
• Partner with external tax advisors, public accounting firms, and legal counsel on tax matters.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and communicate impacts to leadership; identify planning opportunities.
• Support tax-related aspects of acquisitions, restructurings, and other business transactions.
• Oversee sales and use tax and other indirect tax compliance, including state/local construction tax requirements.
• Serve as primary contact for tax audits, examinations, and inquiries.
