O&G Industries, Inc. in Torrington, Connecticut seeks an Accountant to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, tax filings, and month-end/year-end closes.

The role requires solid GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing AP/AR, GL, bank reconciliations, and producing financial statements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of general accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software; QuickBooks or JDE a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Manage daily accounting activities including AP/AR and GL activity.
• Prepare accurate financial reports (income stmt, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Post journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Reconcile bank, intercompany, inventory and GL accounts; resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and audits.
• Maintain fixed asset records and related schedules.
• Prepare and file state and federal tax returns and reports.
• Maintain complete financial records in accounting systems and ensure GAAP compliance.
